About the role

As Manufacturing Engineer at ICSPI, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of our atomic force microscope systems. You will be working closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure that our systems are manufactured to specification. You will be responsible for the success of design changes, from concept to production. You will also work on R&D for new products and on test systems, from concept to ship.

Responsibilities
  • Work with R&D team on new product development and test systems; source and qualify components
  • Support production troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, optical, and control-related issues
  • Train manufacturing personnel to make corrective actions for product test, assembly and packaging
  • Work with logistics team to coordinate supplies, materials and shipping, when needed
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with contract manufacturers (mechanical and electrical)
  • An ability to take design criteria from concept to execution
  • Comfortable working in mechanical and electrical CAD software
  • Hands on experience with hardware and hardware design including troubleshooting experience
  • A keen eye for places to improve hardware based on observation of operations, and the mechanical acumen to follow through on those improvements
Bonus
  • Experience with precision mechanics
  • Interest in the semiconductor industry
